Festival 2024 recap

A fabulous day, despite the rain!

Starting off with a brilliant speech by Mayor Brenda Dacres, who praised the the Friends for our commitment to community and sustainability, the Festival went ahead with more stalls, more acts and more community and engagement opportunities than ever before - all run by local volunteers, local talent and businesses.

In fact we had over 70 committed volunteers supporting on the day, a real sign of the incredible community spirit on Blythe Hill Fields.

An unseasonal downpour at 2pm didn’t quench spirits and some folks went home to change and then came back again!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, either as a volunteer, a contributor or a visitor – you helped make it another brilliant festival.
